Children typically tend to have a distaste for vegetables, so we asked ourselves: how would that mix with a child’s vibrant and animated imagination? What goes on in a child’s mind when they are served a plate of slimy, gooey and mushy veggies, instead of the fried chicken they’ve been craving for all day?
Our film was heavily inspired by films such as Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs, Pixar’s short film ‘Bao’, as well as Blue Curry, the short film done by the students at Gobelins.
Since the overall theme of our film is a nod to classic comedic motifs, we decided that it was best for our story to take place in the 2000s, as we wanted our viewers to relate and reminisce on the days when they once had a distaste for vegetables when they were younger.
